So the tracks from the new post-Hope of the States project The Northwestern posted on their Myspace may not have been the most promising material even if there was something in them, but the song the band are now giving out is already more ensuring. It’s called Fire and like the two tracks we have already heard, it continues on the line of being a bit more upbeat and stripped down than most of HOTS stuff but this time the song sounds like direct continuation from the original band’s sophomore effort/swan song Left. A bit more of the furious intensity that was the band’s trademark is now shown in the sound and overall you’re treated to a fine track.

Keeping my hopes up for a good album on the line.
