Photons are a high-energy octet based in San Francisco. While they may be relatively obscure now, I’m predicting that they will become big news in 2009 as long as they continue to release music of the same quality heard in their self-titled EP.

The Photons EP, released in October of last year and consisting of six tracks, has a sort of lo-fi Jukebox the Ghost appeal. Their sound definitely needs some refining, but this is a band that will only move forward.
