The fantastic live video service that was Fabchannel has decided to stop operating. Enter their site and instead of the usual “latest gigs” chart, you’ll be looking at a grim black background and a RIP text.

You can read the long farewell message yourself from the site. To put the reason shortly: lack of funds. Fabchannel always operated strictly for free, not only for maximum userbase happiness but also to avoid being bitchy with labels, but in the end hosting loads of long, high quality videos took simply too much resources to keep up without donations.

Not much else to say but that this is pretty meh. Understandable, but meh.
