Mr Folds got left out

Tuesday, January 6th, 2009 by Flint

I made a rather terrible boo-boo on my OFFISHAL TOP 10 REKKORDS list by having a brain aneyrusm and completely forgetting that Ben Folds released an album last year. Which would have easily got at least the #10 spot instead of the half-arsed Sigur Rós album.

History cannot be altered, but as an apology here’s yet once again the superbly amazing Cologne which was pretty much one of the songs of the year. And how I forgot it, I can’t bloody comprehend. At all. This isn’t the album version though, it’s the special “piano orchestra” (you’ll see) version. It’s still amazing though. And has a wacky video.

Way to Normal in general: still flawed, but still has a couple of really amazing tracks and is a nice addition to Folds’ discography!

At any rate, here ya go!

Flint’s 2008 retrospective, part 2: The fabled top ten of 2008

Saturday, December 13th, 2008 by Flint

So last time when we checked up on 2008 in full, we were on a pretty downbeat note. 2008 was full of small and minor disappointments and it showed. That doesn’t however mean that there wasn’t any greatness in the year. Granted, there was very little superb greatness compared to many of the years before, but there were good things. A lot of flawed, but good things. And now it’s the time to round them up.

After the cut: the official Flinty top 10.
