Writer: Flint

The person known as Flint is the Finnish addition to the staff of Indie Paws, though he’s currently residing in the UK. He tends to have a huge tendency to ramble which often makes his entries more or less incoherent and tl;dr. At best, he apparently has a talent for writing stuff, not that he’d ever acknowledge it himself. He amuses himself by writing a lot of reviews, maybe some of those will ooze over this page as well.

Flint’s music taste is focused (though not limited to) on modern rock and pop music, to be blunt – due to his hopeless confusion with the millions of subgenres today, Flint’s afraid of using exact genre definitions. Instead he prefers describing his music with vague large genre names and tons of pulled-out-of-one’s-arse adjectives. Heavy atmosphere is always something that gets Flint drooling over a song with an obsessive way. Flint is also possibly the “least indie” of the writer team, his music collection containing much more major label stuff than the other team members’. He however does not give a toss about such petty things as ‘labels’ and never even checks what record label the artists he loves are on, it’s the music itself that counts after all. He’s also got a rather huge interest on video game soundtracks, due to his avid gaming hobby.

Loved artists: R.E.M., Manic Street Preachers, Guillemots, John Frusciante, Elbow, Death Cab for Cutie, Sparklehorse, Midlake, Sigur Rós, Radiohead, Moby, Grandaddy etc etc ad infinitum.
