Writer: Ipequey
As the resident “old fart” on Indie Paws, Ipequey, or “Ip”, has had his ears both blessed and cursed by music over the past 30 years. The good news is that he has actively sought out the good stuff to share with all the readers of Indie Paws. He’s convinced that most of the best music is rarely heard on terrestrial radio and actively seeks out the obscure and struggling bands of today and yesteryear.
Music has always been a major part of his life. Raised by two musicians, he learned to appreciate music and was encouraged to develop his own musical talents at an early age. With daily exposure to many hours of music, it’s not unexpected to find that his music library includes all styles of music. His taste in modern music evolved from many of his parents’ classical, 50s and 60s albums. Since buying his first album, his tastes have branched off a good deal, even though he still enjoys some “old stuff” on a rare occasion. Today he generally prefers music that is eclectic, different and interesting.
Favorite Bands? XTC, Queen, Rush, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Levellers, Pulp, Smashing Pumpkins, The Magnetic Fields, The Lightning Seeds, Ladytron, Earlimart, Beulah, VHS or Beta, Cansei De Ser Sexy…ad nauseam.
